King Mongkut’s International School of Ladkrabang’s new Elementary Section (KMIDS Elementary) is unexpectedly seeking an additional Grade 1 Teacher for the AY 2025-26 due to a family leave situation.

The successful candidate will value a play-based approach to learning and be experienced teaching phonics and early literacy. (Experience working with children who have English as a Second Language will be an advantage.) The successful candidate should have the ability to inspire children with a love of learning and have a passion for teaching all types of learners.

KMIDS Elementary is a small program which will expand significantly with the completion of our own purpose built facility in August 2026, As KMIDS Elementary grows so will the professional opportunities at the school. Like KMIDS MS/HS, the Elementary follows the US Common Core and is a well resourced STEAM school.

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, multi-tasking, and be willing to embrace new challenges.

Basic requirements:
A minimum of 2 years experience teaching Kindergarten or Lower Elementary: children aged between 5 - 7 years
Proficient in teaching phonics in an EAL environment
Bachelors’ degree in Early Years Education or Primary Education
C2 Level of English (i.e. equivalent to a Native-level English speaker)
Enjoys working as part of a team: excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills .
Energetic, reliable with excellent time management skills.
Sees the value of mentoring a Teaching Assistant and sharing their professional experiences with others.
A can do attitude who puts the needs of children and the team serving them first.
